Book Cover Design
Whispers in the Fog
A suspense thriller cover study shaped by fog, isolation, and slow-building tension.
Whispers in the Fog is a self-initiated book cover design for a suspense thriller set in a remote, fog-covered forest. The full-wrap composition uses layered atmosphere, deep contrast, and restrained typography to build a sense of secrecy, isolation, and slow-building tension across the front cover, spine, and back.
Challenge
Create a suspense-thriller cover that establishes mystery, isolation, and tension without revealing the story, while maintaining clear title and author hierarchy across a complete print wrap.
Approach
Built the cover around layered forest imagery and dense fog to obscure depth and create uncertainty, using cool desaturated tones and controlled contrast to maintain the darker thriller atmosphere. Restrained typography keeps the title prominent without competing with the imagery, while the composition continues across the spine and back to make the full wrap feel visually connected.
Result
The finished full-wrap design creates a cohesive thriller identity across the front cover, spine, and back, combining clear genre cues with restrained typography and an atmospheric visual progression that carries through the complete book.
