Floral Elegance Birthday Card
A graceful birthday card inspired by vintage botanicals, soft pastel color, and timeless celebration.
Floral Elegance is a self-initiated birthday card design inspired by vintage botanical illustration and traditional printed stationery. The composition pairs a detailed floral frame with restrained typography and generous negative space, creating a celebratory design that feels personal, refined, and easy to read.
Challenge
Create a birthday card that feels decorative and celebratory without allowing the illustration to overwhelm the message, while maintaining a refined and personal character appropriate for printed stationery.
Approach
Built the composition around a botanical border that frames rather than competes with the central message. A restrained pastel palette, generous spacing, and an elegant typographic hierarchy keep the greeting as the primary focal point while allowing the floral illustration to provide character and detail.
Result
The finished card balances detailed illustration with a clear central message, creating a cohesive stationery piece that feels decorative, readable, and appropriate for a personal celebration.
